Jula Bell is an American singer, bass player, autoharpist, writer, poet, and activist from Los Angeles, California .  She is associated with the Los Angeles punk scene starting in the 1980’s and is considered to be a forerunner of the Riot Grrrl movement of the 90’s.   She is also known for her work in film production with David Lynch (Twin Peaks), DEVO for Girl U Want (Tank Girl theme song), as well as numerous other commercials, videos, and TV soundtracks.  Her touring bands were Bulimia Banquet, Bobsled, Marc Spitz Freestyle/MSF, Nip Drivers and Miss Derringer.  She was also one of the founding members  of Punx of the Round Keg (Pork), a Los Angeles art and music collective with a roster of over 200 Los Angeles musicians. “
